Showing Up (1).png

Showing up is hard.

In a world full of distractions, pressing demands, and the bumpy realities of creativity, often our expression falls by the wayside.

What if, instead of taking the whole thing on, we simply practice showing up routinely and courageously, week by week, to our creative practice?

Come learn the foundational skills for showing up to a mindful art journalling practice in this  8-week course. Your creative practice can become a powerful ally and resource in your life, helping you make sense of your suffering and build resilience. By practicing showing up routinely to our creative practice we can lay the foundation for a sustaining and fulfilling life of creative expression.

This course is for you if:

  • You struggle to show up consistently for your creative practice.

  • You want to learn a mindful art journaling practice that you can sustain for life!

  • You would like to use creative expression to support your mental health and well-being but aren’t sure how to do that.

  • You would like to build mindfulness-based principles and practices into your creative practice or expression.

  • You want to express more of your own unique experience and ideas through creativity.

Each Tuesday from Sept 19th to November 7th, we will gather to learn a short foundation skill and engage in a creative prompt that will give you the chance to get used to showing up to your creative practice for insight and support. Each week, you will be given optional homework to deepen the lessons. The idea is that each week the commitment is short, sweet, and meaningful, helping you get used to showing up.

We will meet live Tuesday from 1:30-2:30pm Mountain time from September 19th to November 7th,  online via Zoom.

A recording will be made available to all in the 24 hours after each live session.

This course will primarily utilize art journaling along with traditional journaling in conjunction with meditation and embodied practices. The insights and practices will, however, translate and support you in any creative venture you choose!
