Showing Up.png

Showing up is hard.

In a world full of distractions, pressing demands, and the bumpy realities of creativity, often our expression falls by the wayside.

What if, instead of taking the whole thing on, we simply practice showing up routinely and courageously, week by week, to our creative practice?

Come learn the foundational skills for showing up to your creative practice in this new 8-week course. Your creative practice can become a powerful ally and resource in your life, helping you make sense of your suffering and build resilience. By practicing showing up routinely to our creative practice we can lay the foundation for a sustaining and fulfilling life of creative expression.

This course is for you if:

  • You struggle to show up consistently for your creative practice.

  • You would like to use creative expression to support your mental health and well-being but aren’t sure how to do that.

  • You would like to build mindfulness-based principles and practices into your creative practice or expression.

  • You want to express more of your own unique experience and ideas through creativity.

Each Sunday from May to June, we will gather to learn a short foundation skill and engage in a creative prompt that will give you the chance to get used to showing up to your creative practice for insight and support. Each week, you will be given optional homework to deepen the lessons. The idea is that each week the commitment is short, sweet, and meaningful, helping you get used to showing up.

We will meet live each Sunday from May 7th to June 25th,  online via Zoom from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Mountain time

This course will primarily utilize art journaling along with traditional journaling in conjunction with meditation and embodied practices. The insights and practices will, however, translate and support you in any creative venture you choose!

There are a few affordable ways for you to participate in this class (cause I know how much groceries cost these days!).

  1. Become a member of the Inspiration Library (the most inexpensive option). For $20 CDN a month (approximately $15 USD). You can cancel at any time without penalty. 2.  One-time purchase of $80 CDN (approximately $60 USD) to access all 8 classes and receive a link to the recordings for your future use.

3.   If either of these two choices feels too onerous for you in your position, please reach out to Rachel at Subject: Subsidy, and we will see how we can support you.

Please note: The last day for enrolment is May 4th

Will there be a replay?
